El Paso Critical Care Transport
Dedicated Staff
The El Paso Emergency Squad consists of 24 members including three
Critical Care Paramedics who have over 70 years combined experience
in Emergency Medical Services. They have successfully completed the
Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Paramedic course as
outlined by the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Loyola
University.
In addition to being Illinois Licensed EMT-Paramedics , they possess
certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), International
Trauma Life Support (ITLS-Advanced), Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Provider.
In order to maintain their competency in critical care, our
CCEMT-Paramedics are required to complete extensive continuing
education and clinical requirements in critical care. This is in addition to
the required 48 hours of continuing education each year in order to
maintain their EMT-Paramedic license in the State of Illinois.

The El Paso Emergency Squad is a member of the McLean County Area
EMS System and medical oversight is provided by the EMS Medical
Director.
